The printing process is divided into three stages:
1. Pre-press: refers to the pre-printing work, generally refers to photography, design, production, typesetting, output film proofing, etc;
2. In-printing: refers to the work in the middle of printing, and the process of printing the finished product through the printing machine;
3. Post-printing: generally refers to the post-processing of printed matter, including over-gluing (film covering), over-UV, over-oil, beer, bronzing, embossing, mounting, binding, cutting, etc., which is mainly used for publicity and packaging printing.
Printing refers to the technology of transferring ink to the surface of paper, fabric, leather and other materials through plate-making, inking, pressure and other processes to copy the contents of the original manuscript in batches. There are many forms of printing, the most common of which are traditional offset printing, screen printing and digital printing.
Printing is a kind of reproduction technology for the graphic and text information of the original. Its biggest feature is that it can reproduce the graphic and text information on the original in a large amount and economically on a variety of substrates. It can be said that its finished products can also be widely circulated and permanently preserved, which is incomparable with other reproduction technologies such as film, television and photography. The production of printed matter generally goes through five technological processes, including the selection or design of the original, the production of the original, the drying of the printing plate, printing and post-printing processing.
